Our Soaps are All Natural with no artificial colors, fragrances, synthetic preservatives, no animal derived ingredients, nor animal testing. It's all good.  The oils may come from farms on distant lands, but the soap is made right here in the USA.  Your Skin is all natural, why shouldn't your soap be?


Why Use All Natural Soap?
Your skin is the largest organ of your body.  It drinks in many of the products you apply to it.  A vast array of bars considered soap are not really soap at all but detergents, some being made with petroleum products and fragrances both of which can cause a myriad of complications to the skin.  Many folks have told us their skin problems went away while using natural soap, problems some have spent much money on.  Ingredients found in many "soaps" are carcinogenic.  Our natural lye soap contains only Botanical Essential Oils saponified by lye.  When soap is processed the way we do it-cold process, all the lye is changed and glycerin is made present.  It's made the old fashioned way, only we don't use animal fats.  It lathers nicely, leaves skin clean without harsh detergents.  And we never add fragrance oils to our body care products,* the soaps above are only wonderfully and aromatically scented with essential oils, so you are not only avoiding being bombarded with chemical fragrance oils, you are receiving the benefits of aromatherapeutic essential oils.  All of the above soaps with the exception of Little White Lye, have the following ingredients in common:  Olive oil, Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, and Soy Oil.  Little White Lye is made with only hydrogenated soy.  Hydrogenated oils are not healthy to ingest, but may be beneficial for external use.  And don't forget, you are supporting a family run small farm U.S. business when you buy any of our products.

Did you know? 
An ingredient in many antibacterial soaps is Triclosan.  We did use antibacterial soap  many instances being on a farm and handling animals.  But after being informed, I have switched to regularly using natural soap and water, and in those instances when germkilling seems a must, we use our soap, then the  lesser health risk of an alcohol based germ killer.
Triclosan is a chlorophenol, a class of chemicals suspected of causing cancer in humans. This chemical is included in detergents, dish soaps, laundry detergents, deodorants, cosmetics, lotions, creams, toothpastes and mouthwashes. The EPA registers it as a pesticide, giving it high scores as a risk to both human health and the environment. Externally, it can cause skin irritations. Stored in body fat, it can accumulate to toxic levels, damaging the liver, kidneys, and lungs, and can cause paralysis, sterility, suppression of immune function, brain hemorrhage, decreased fertility and sexual function, heart problems, and comas.Its manufacturing process may produce dioxin, a powerful hormone-disrupting chemical with toxic effects in the parts per trillion (one drop in 300 Olympic-sized swimming pools!). Hormone disruptors pose enormous long-term health risks, because they interfere with the way hormones perform (such as changing genetic material, or fostering birth defects).Triclosan works by destroying all microscopic organisms in its path. This means that it also kills all the friendly bacteria that help our bodies by aiding metabolism and inhibiting the invasion of harmful pathogens. Over-zealous prescription of antibiotics has been blamed for the current spread of drug-resistant bacteria, and it seems entirely possible that the recent widespread use of antibacterial agents in everyday products might have similar results. Washing your hands with plain old soap and water is the best preventative.
